TALKS & WORKSHOPS
Wellbeing sessions for companies and organisations
I’m an experienced public speaker and event facilitator. I offer talks and workshops covering various topics that align with my mission to help people lead a happier, more fulfilling life.
Some example wellbeing sessions -
‘BEREAVEMENT, GRIEF AND LOSS’ - 1 hr online webinar - ‘lunch & learn’ with Q& A and handout
The session helps attendees gain a better understanding of grief and loss, particularly in relation to bereavement. The aim is to raise their awareness and build their resilience so they feel well-supported and can function better. As a result of the session, attendees will understand how to recognise different types of grief, learn coping mechanisms and be signposted on to resources to support themselves and others when dealing with loss.
‘NAVIGATING DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOSS’ - 1 hr online webinar - ‘lunch & learn’ with Q& A and handout
This session considers the impact of losses like divorce, the ending of a friendship or relationship, and pet loss - including what can make them so painful and the impact of symbolic and secondary losses (eg. the loss of a family home after a divorce). We will consider how understanding wellbeing and developing resilience can help us manage difficult life events, before considering how to apply this awareness via some practical suggestions.

“Working with Verity has been a pleasure, she is both approachable and professional. Verity created a bespoke grief session which was relevant, personal, and sensitive and was really well received by our employees. We are keen to engage with her for other topics.”

For Counsellors, Psychotherapists & Grief Practitioners
I offer training and professional development for therapists wishing to deepen their understanding of how to support clients on their journey of bereavement and grief. By drawing on my experience and specialist knowledge and skills, I provide practical, professional, and compassionate training in these fields.
Forthcoming talks and workshops…
An introduction to bereavement & grief therapy - Online - 3 hours
Peer Supervision Group
In 2020 I facilitated online, fortnightly drop-in sessions for counsellors and psychotherapists to check-in and share best practice, tools and learnings around bereavement and grief in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic. The drop-in session became a closed Peer Supervision Group for specialist bereavement and grief therapists which continues to meet for a couple of hours each month to explore case studies, and disseminate training and resources. If you’re a qualified and experienced therapist, with a background or interest in supporting bereaved and grieving clients, who is interested in joining the group, do get in touch with me for an initial chat.
